The Gîte du Lac Taureau offers direct access to Lac Taureau with a private boat launch and dock for our guests.
Lac Taureau is known for its 95 km2, being the largest navigable lake near Montreal. It is an exceptional heritage with its 45 islands and 31.7 km of sandy beaches. Ideal for swimming and nautical activities.
We are located 12 km from the magnificent Pointe-Fine beach resembling the infinite beaches of your favorite sun destinations.
The summer activities
are numerous and varied
- On the domain: private dock with possibility of mooring your boat there. Swimming, picnic area and relaxation by the lake. Large playground with play modules for children. Canoe and kayak at your disposal.
- On the lake Taureau: swimming, pontoon ride, boat, watercraft, kayak, sport fishing (pike, landlocked salmon, yellow perch…)
- On the Matawin River: canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding
- Hiking trails: Baie Dominique/Baie du Millieu trails and Parc Régional des Sept-Chutes
- Bicycle path of 52 km (round trip) along the Matawin River to Mont Tremblant Park and municipal circuit.
- ATV trails in the area
- 9 km from the Saint-Michel-des-Saints Golf Club.
- In the village: recreation park with play modules, water games, skate park, asphalt pump track and many other activities.
